Accessing Speaker Wire of Solera Awning Speakers

Question:

I have a Lippert Solera powered awning. When facing the awning the RH side speaker is not working. I believe that is the actual drive side for the awning. Can I remove the screws from the back side of the cover to gain access to the speaker. I want to check the physical connections to troubleshoot. If speaker is bad is that able to be replaced independently?

Most likely the issue is wiring like you mentioned if the one side just stopped working one day. You can remove the cover and you'll see that the speaker is attached to it and there would be two spade connectors from the speaker to the wiring. You could troubleshoot by removing the other side's cover and speaker and connecting it to the the driver side wiring to see if it's the speaker or the wiring.

For a replacement cover with a speaker built in you'd want the part # LC731463.
