Can Lippert Smart Powered Jack LC643589 Install Rotated

Question:

I have a Lippert Smart Jack # LC643589. This question was asked previous, but Id like clarification. Can I rotate the jack 90° so it will clear my tailgate? The answer said it wont be a clean install. What does that mean? Will the jack still work if the entire unit is rotated? And, what are the torque values for install?

Since the mounting flange of the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack w/ Footplate # LC643589 is a triangle and not a square you can't mount it perfectly at a 90 degree angle if you were to rotate it but you certainly could if you wanted to. Since two of the mounting holes are slotted there is some wiggle room in how it can attach too. I am not sure what Chris meant by it not being a clean install though as it would work just fine.

Torque specs will be based on the size and grade of the hardware as well.
