Tailgate Clearance for the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack

Question:

I have a ram 1500 no lift ... will the tailgate let down with out hitting the top of it. I have a A-frame mounted bulldog and the tail gate hits need about two less inches in the height of the jack on top of the mount the clear the tailgate

I would be happy to help you. Based on the information you have given me I am going to give you the height of the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack Item # SC63VR you referenced. This jack sits 21 1/4" above your trailer's frame. You will just need to hook your trailer up or raise it to where you would have it when your tailgate is down. If this jack doesn't work go ahead and send me an email with the height you are looking for and I will try to find you a jack that will work or we can look at using a hitch extender or extended ball mount to get you some tailgate clearance that way.
