Features to know about

Simplify Vehicle Securement: Adjustable Wheel Net with E-Track

Securing your vehicles can be a hassle, especially with varying tire sizes. The Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net uses E-Track fittings to adapt snugly around most tires up to 29 inches in diameter. This ensures a secure hold for cars, ATVs, or UTVs, making your towing process smoother and safer.

Handle Larger Loads Safely: High Working Load Limit

When hauling hefty loads, worry less with Erickson's robust build. The wheel net boasts a safe working load limit (WLL) of 1,166 lbs and a maximum load of 3,500 lbs, giving you peace of mind even when dealing with heavy cargo.

Enjoy Ultimate Durability: Mildew-Resistant Polyester Webbing

Mother Nature is no match for this strap, thanks to its tough, mildew-resistant polyester webbing. With minimal stretch, this strap stays reliable and taut, ensuring your vehicle remains in place — rain or shine.

Customize with Ease: Cam Buckle Adjustment

Fitting different sized tires has never been easier. The cam buckle adjustment feature allows you to quickly adjust the strap to wrap securely around smaller and larger tires, making it versatile enough for a range of vehicles.

Enhance Trailer Stability: Secure Your Load with Confidence

The secure grip of these wheel nets means no more slipping or sliding. Once fitted, they keep your vehicle steady, even over challenging terrains, letting you tow with confidence.

Prevent Damage: Versatile and Protective Tire Fit

Protect your vehicle’s frame and alignment by leveraging the strap's design. It envelops the tire securely, allowing the suspension to absorb travel impact and not the frame. This method of securing ensures a smoother ride and protects your vehicle from potential damage.

Specs

Weight and Capacity

  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,166 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 3,500 lbs

Features

  • Adjustable tire strap with E-track fittings
  • Strong, mildew-resistant polyester webbing with limited stretch
  • Cam buckle adjustment allows strap to fit small and large tires
    • Fits most tires up to 29" in diameter

Note

Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Video Transcript for Customer Interaction with the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net

Hello neighbors. It's Brad from etrailer and today we are at Worldwide Technology Raceway and I'm here with Randy and I've run into Randy before at the racetrack and he's got an awesome Z06 that he tracks. (car engine roaring) One of the questions we get a lot of times is how do you strap a vehicle onto a trailer safely It seems like a lot of people have their own methods. What's yours Well, there, if you've got the wheel straps that go over the wheels, use those 'cause they're great. They support the vehicle. In my Corvette, I've actually got a tow hook that I screw into the front and I'll hook the winch on that and I'll pull it down tight with the winch and then I'll use a ratchet strap and I will ratchet over subframe or control arms in the back so I can pull it tight.

And I never crisscrossed because my experience is the bouncing down the road, crisscrossing will actually loosen the straps so I've always gone straight with the straps and any extra slack, you just throw it in the back, slam the hatch shut, slam trunk shut. You're good. The wheel straps that Randy is referring to are just like the Erickson adjustable wheel nets available here at etrailer. These straps ratchet down to secure your vehicle by the wheels and tires. They're available with standard J hooks or E-track fittings to allow you to safely haul your vehicle on a flatbed or an enclosed trailer.

These straps are made with a heavy duty polyester webbing and adjust to fit most tires up to 29 inches in diameter. Now keep in mind that your vehicle should not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps you're using. An awesome day at Worldwide Technologies Raceway. We got to meet lots of neighbors whether they be local or around the country right here in etrailer's own backyard in Madison, Illinois. Now it's awesome to see them in their element with their race cars and we're happy to allow them to have the parts and accessories necessary to make sure that they have the best experience while towing their race cars around.

The safe working load limit of these straps is 1,166 pounds each, for a total of 4,664 pounds. It would not be enough to safely hold a vehicle of 5,200 pounds. With that weight, you will need something a bit heavier duty. I have included a link to all of our car tie downs. You will need to move away from the E-track system for a vehicle that heavy.

We use these to strap down our side-by-side (Polaris RZR 570) inside our toy hauler. Installed E-Tracks in the rig, and these go right over the rear tires of the side-by-side. Easy enough to adjust and a great way to secure the load. I would buy them again and I do recommend them to my friends. Note for others: I also chock the wheels with rubber wheel chocks and put a strap around the chocks to keep them in place. I also strap the front frame (driver and passenger side) to prevent any slop or motion side to side. I have not seen the unit move while in transit, and we go down some pretty bumpy 4x4 forest roads with this set up. Strapping by the tire also prevents wear and tear to the suspension components as there is no additional compression in the suspension.

by:

The wheel nets look and feel substantial. The straps, e-track fittings, stitching, and cam buckles look to be industry standards. My trailer is still under construction so it’ll be a few months before I can actually try them on and actually test them.

by:

I've owned these straps for a year and have towed my Corvette about 6,000 miles to different Concours events. The E-tracks in my trailer were installed by the manufacturer on the outside of the outer edge of the wheels, not down the center of the wheel. I have to be especially careful that the straps are adjusted to be down as far as possible over the wheel, on the backside for them to hold correctly. The straps themselves are great.

by:

I installed E-Track singles on my utility trailer to use these straps for a better way to tie down my side x side UTV. Very heavy duty feel. Hands down the best way to tie any vehicle to a trailer. No trying to compress the suspension or pulling in all directions. If you pull a Polaris Ranger or any UTV on a trailer then this is the easiest and safest way to tie it down.

by:

Had a bit of trouble fitting them on my 1960 Austin Healey due to the car’s wheel/finder clearance. Took a bit of trial and error to find the best fit. Once on, straps worked fine. Easy to install now.

by:

Use these E-Track Adjustable Wheel Nets to secure our MotorTrike to the extended platform. Makes an ideal method for transporting our vehicle.

The nets are easily adjusted to maintain proper tension.

Works great and arrived a day early ! A wesome

Product works great, holds my race car right in place. Car will never go anywhere with these straps.

by:

Great Price
Very fast shipping

by:

Overall solid products. Easy to use and heavier material/construction than expected. One of the ratchets was missing a locknut for the strap bolt. Not a huge deal just went down to local hardware store and got an M12 1.25 fine thread lock nut.

by:

Excellent solution for tying down your UTV

by:

Well made and pretty good fit for 32” t ires

by:

Just received my order and placed the Wheel Net straps on the UTV and it looks great and is going to be a huge improvement. We pull our UTVs over vast miles of bumpy dirt roads to get where we need to work and have had all problems imaginable with straps. We first used the regular tie-down straps which were always popping loose and then we'd lose them somewhere along the road, or they'd bust.
We tried wheel straps and had some level of success with them, the problem was they were just a single strap up and over the tire and they would slide off on a regular basis.
This product with (having the tire being encased in a Wheel Net) is the perfect solution.
Great job and I hope you sell a million of them!

Have had the straps on our trailers for over a year now and couldnt be more satisfied. The straps are quick and easy to take on and off the UTV and have been failsafe. The best solution to attaching UTVATVs to trailers that Ive seen.

Still happy with these wheel nets

by:

I purchased these to use with the E-tracks on my trailer. My RZR has 30” tires, and although the specifications state that these are for 29” maximum, they will work just fine for my vehicle. The quality of the product appears to be high, and installation is not difficult.

Unfortunately I had to get rid of my Polaris, so no longer own the straps. I can say that they worked very well while I owned them.

Great product. Delivered as promised and packaged well. My straps came undamaged. I would definitely order again. I have placed multiple orders over the years and etrailer.com delivers as promised every time.

One year later and working perfect. As usual trailer delivers every time!! I am using the straps to hold a 1927 Ford Model T in place in an enclosed trailer. E-track system I have on the floor holds it all very well in place. I recommend to anyone. Always check the size youll need based on the cartruck you have, meaning tires and vehicle weight.

by:

Nice product. Great service from etrailer. It would have been 5 stars if both tightening points were ratchets. One was a ratchet and the other was a buckle.

Trailered a side by side for 1000 miles, had to adjust but no major issues. Straps durability may be an issue as there appears to be some wear. Still, satisfied with the purchase.

  • Can E-Track be Installed in Car Hauler for Multiple Car Widths
You can install the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # E19148 in any manner you like, so for a car hauler that has cars of different widths you can place E-track side-by-side, as you can see one of our customers did in the accompanying photo. This E-track is only 5-1/8" wide so you can install numerous different tracks to meet as many widths as possible. For additional support I do recommend using the E-Track Backing Plate # BPEZ during your install. This would be the best option and then you...

Hey Erik, you would have to use your best judgment on that but the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net with E-Track Fittings # 77314 that you referenced was intended to have the tire on top of the e-track. If you attached the net to a tire that is off of the track it would diminish it's ability to secure the wheel to an unknown amount so while it could work totally fine it might not under the right circumstances.
