Can the Malone SaddleUp and the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Handle Sandpiper and Pamilco Kayaks

Question:

Im interested in a rear loading saddle kayak carrier. Can you please tell me if the Malone Saddle Up and Rhino Rack Nautic 581 would both work for my 2 kayaks- an Eddyline Sandpiper and Wilderness System Pamlico? And recommendatiions are appreciated. Thank you!

It looks like the Pamlico can weigh up to 73 pounds and can measure up 14.5 feet while the Sandpiper weighs 38 pounds and measures 12 feet.

With that in mind, both the Malone SaddleUp, part # MPG1001, and the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581, part # RR581, will be able to handle these kayaks. I've linked to video reviews of both of these for you to look at.

That having been said, unless you have an extremely wide roof and rack, you won't be able to use two saddle-style carriers to transport your two kayaks side-by-side.

If you want to transport them both at the same time and you do not have the space to do that with two saddle-style carriers, I recommend getting only one for the Pamlico and using a J-style carrier like the Yakima JayLow, part # Y04073, for your Sandpiper.
