Loading kayaks should not feel complicated. This lockable J-style rack lets you carry 1 or 2 boats and switch between a cradle or stacker setup, then folds flat when you are done for a cleaner, lower-profile ride home.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the Thule Hull-a-Port XTR Kayak Roof Rack. Now, folks, this is considered a J-style folding carrier, and this is very versatile, so you can carry either one or two kayaks with the dual-position design of this J-style carrier. And it's gonna transform from a J-cradle to a vertical stacker position with ease. Now it uses what's called an Integrated StrapCatch system to help manage those straps while loading, and the upright folds flat when not in use.
Now, what's neat about these, also, is that these come fully assembled out of the box. They're ready to go, they're ready to install, and you simply can loosen up the lever here. And like I said, depending on how you loosen it and tighten it, you can then fold everything nice and flat, or if you need to, you can keep it upright as well. So, again, a great option, multiple different angles to choose from, et cetera, what-not. As far as putting it together, again, right outta the box ready to go.
Of course, you have a spot there if you choose to buy separately. It is compatible with their One Key System and their lock cylinders. Now, this is a universal mount, so it's gonna work up to load bars up to 80.5 millimeters wide. And you do get the included straps, the ropes, and everything, and the buckle protectors and everything. I didn't put all that together outta box 'cause I wanted to show it to you individually as how it comes out of the box.
And as you know, with Thule, they make great, great products, nice, heavy-duty, sturdy. Of course, they got their rubber padding on all the bars here to keep your kayaks protected, and everything. And then once again, it's just super simple to pop this loose, and then to be able to fold it down whenever you're not using 'em for storage, and whatnot. So, again, very easy, very versatile. These are the Thule Hull-a-Ports.
And, again, you can carry one kayak up to 75 pounds, or two with a combined weight of 130 pounds. Overall, they're 20 inches long, nine inches wide, and 20 inches tall when they're in the upright position. And those straps are two inches by 15 feet long. Again, folks, this is only compatible with a bunch of different options, so make sure you're double-checking the compatibility to be sure it's gonna work with your setup. And as always, you can reach out to us if you have any further questions about this, or any other products. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
