Question:
I recently purchased a 41541 for installation on my 2001 Lexus RX300. The trailer Im pulling is a Haulmark Transport 6x12. What lighting hookup kit do I need to complete the install? The trailer plug is the standard 4-prong flat hookup.

If your RX300 has the factory tow package, you can use the Tow Ready # 118245 which will plug into the connector located behind the rear bumper (see linked instructions).
If your RX300 does not have the tow package, the trailer connector will need to be hardwired into the existing wiring use the Tow Ready # C59496. I will include a link to the general installation instructions as well as to an installation overview video.
You will need to access the rear of the taillight assemblies, like you would to change a burned out bulb. Use the circuit tester included in the kit to probe the wires in the factory harness to determine which wire controls which function. Once the functions are identified, you can use the included quick splice connectors to install the wiring harness.
