Hello, I am looking for a replacement shock absorber for a surge brake actuator. The original one has the following info stamped on it: MAECO MPD 85404 19288 CO2B76 The measurements are: 10 1/4 extended 7 1/4 collapsed 1 5/8 OD

I went through all of our shocks for trailer surge brakes and did not find an exact match. A similar one is the Demco # DS12426 replacement shock. This shock measures 6” eye to eye compressed, and 8-1/8” extended.
In my research I found out MaeCo has been out of business for about 15 years. I could not even find a used copy of your shock online.
Email me back if you would like to pursue specifying a new surge brake. I will need the trailer weight, brake type disk/drum and number of brakes, trailer tongue - style A Frame or Straight, and if you need reverse lockouts.lockouts.
