Yes! It can and has been. Although from my experience with the Toyota Highlander, is that it tends to be a tight fit under there. It really depends on how comfortable your are with getting underneath your car to remove and install pieces.

I attached the install instructions below if you want to check it out. Also, the trickiest part might be when you have to lift the hitch into place. I highly recommend getting a buddy or a second set of hand to help out with the step.

If you're using this for towing and you don't have the factory tow package, you can also get the T-One Wiring Harness # TK99FR. If you're using this for a bike rack, then I recommend the etrailer Hitch Pin Alignment Collar # e98942 to make mounting your bike rack easier.
