Question:

My concern is after unlocking the receiver and then locking it over and over isnt the tightness going to become loose eventually? It seems that whatever is holding the receiver will eventually wear down. Is there a warranty for that portion of the hitch? Why is the kit so much more compared to the standard hitch. They both look very similar.

The hitch, including the locking receiver is covered by the Stealth Hitch Limited Lifetime Warranty. We haven't had any reports of the locking receiver loosening over time.

Because the hitch is completely concealed once the locking receiver portion is removed, the
# 391HYUNPALIS19 Stealth Hitch is a unique product, and Stealth Hitch prices it accordingly.

If you're looking for something that might be less expensive, the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13427 isn't fully concealed (the receiver tube and safety chain loop is still visible) but most of the hitch will be hidden behind the bumper/rear fascia for a much better appearance than a traditional hitch that would be fully visible. This hitch is much less expensive but is still a high quality item that would work great for you. I suppose you'd need to ask yourself if the price differential is worth it.
