Definition I found for Class V isClass V hitches used as weight carrying are rated up to 12,000 lbs. gross trailer weight GTW with a 1200 lbs. maximum trailer tongue weight TW. Class V hitches used for weight distributing are rated up to 17,000 lbs. Just want to verify before I buy, as weigh safe is rated for 14.5 K. Thanks

Hitch classifications are a general way to organize capacities but they don't reflect exact weight ratings. So while the Class V can be on somewhat higher and lower weight capacities but typically is right around 12k to 15k and for the 2-1/2 inch hitch size.
Since the weight capacity of the hitch lock part # e98881 is 15k and Weigh Safe ball mount is rated for 14.5k this would have the needed capacity to be totally safe.
