Does Transfer Switch Install Before Progressive Dynamics Power Panel or After
Updated 11/09/2020 | Published 11/05/2020 >
Question:
This sounds like a silly questionIm sure Im missing something. Lets say there is a transfer switch installed such that the AC system can be powered from either shore or inverter. This would have to happen before the PD4060K, I assume. If the AC is running from inverter, then you would NOT want the PD4060K to try to charge the battery from that power, right? I cant see how it can know the difference though. Or do people not run the inverter AC through the circuit breakers in the PD4060K? Thanks

You would run a transfer switch before the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4060K. The panel is what charges the batteries as well as what powers all of the circuits so you'd need the switch to provide the power needed from either the power source mentioned.
