When the heat builds up, this 13,500 Btu system knocks it down fast. The rooftop unit pushes 320 CFM of airflow to move cool, dry air through the space within minutes. Large coils and airflow-boosting fins pull heat out efficiently while the R32 refrigerant keeps it compliant with 2025 EPA regulations. It’s a reliable way to make summer days comfortable again.
No guessing which parts work together—this kit already does. The rooftop unit and air distribution box are designed to pair up, so installation is smoother and less stressful. It fits a 14-1/4" × 14-1/4" opening and comes ready for direct-cool use with simple control knobs right at the ceiling. Everything about it is built to save time and eliminate surprises during setup.
You don’t have to hunt for remotes or wall panels. The air distribution box gives you direct control at ceiling level with easy-reach knobs for fan and temperature. Front and rear dampers let you send airflow where it’s needed most, while pop-out grilles make cleaning quick—just pull them out, rinse, and snap them back in place.
Cool mornings don’t have to mean firing up a full furnace. This system is prepped for an optional 5,600 Btu heat strip (sold separately) that adds gentle warmth when the air turns chilly. It installs easily and makes the setup useful beyond the hottest months without extra bulk or noise.
Copper tubing and gas-flux brazed joints help the system stay sealed and strong over time. The medium-profile housing stands just 13-13/16" tall and weighs 79.5 lbs, keeping weight manageable on the roof while maintaining solid construction. With a 2-year limited warranty on the air conditioner and 1-year on the air distribution box, it’s made for reliable comfort trip after trip.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 13,500 BTU ductless RV air conditioner system in this textured black cover. Now as you probably know, one of the biggest headaches in RV repairs is trying to figure out which parts go with which parts. Finding out which ones are compatible with each other. This kit's gonna take all that off of your plate.
This rooftop unit does come with this air distribution box, and both of these items are designed to work together, so the installation is going to be smoother for you and nothing's going to catch you off guard. So whether you're doing the install yourself or you're paying someone else to do it, having everything designed to work together is going to make the job go a lot faster, it's gonna be cleaner, and a whole lot less stressful. So this is made for RVs without ducted air. So this is gonna be perfect if you're replacing an old setup, or you're adding a second unit to cool down a separate space. And again, this is a 13,500 BTU unit, so it's gonna give you enough cooling for smaller to mid-size RVs or campers like 30 feet and below.
Inside the unit are large coils. And airflow boosting fins are gonna help pull the heat out efficiently, so your RV's gonna stay cooler with less strain on the system. And you're gonna be able to walk in and immediately feel that nice, cool, comfortable air. Let's talk measurements. Looking at the unit itself, end to end, we're sitting pretty close to 39 inches long.
The overall width, we're right at about 26 inches wide. And this is called a mid profile air conditioner, so this is gonna be right at about 13 and three quarters inches tall. This is going to work with the standard opening size of 14 and a quarter inches long by 14 and a quarter inches wide. This weighs about 80 pounds or so. And this cover, as I mentioned several times, it's a textured black cover.
And it's a more flexible cover, so it's not rigid like other air conditioners that I'm familiar with, so I think it would take an impact better than some of the other covers that I've seen from other manufacturers, but I think it's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from water, debris, and things like that. Taking a look here at the other side of my table here, I wanted to show you that this does include this air distribution box that's going to give you full control right at the ceiling level with these simple knobs. You've got your fan speed knob and your temperature control knob. You're also going to be able to direct the air where you want it. With the dampeners up at the front and the rear. And then you're gonna be able to control how much air you want coming out on each side there. And then we do have the ability to remove the air filters here quickly and easily wash them out. And then after they're dried replace them, so you're gonna be able to keep this clean and let that air continue to flow easily and smoothly. Hardware is also included with this, as you can see here, to get this all installed into place. Talking about some measurements with our air distribution box. This is gonna be about 20 and three quarters inches wide. 21 and three quarters inches long. And this is going to stick down from your ceiling at about two to two and a half inches or so. So you should have plenty of headroom inside of your camper when this is installed. Now something I wanted to mention is this system is not going to be backwards compatible with any air conditioner system or components from 2024 and earlier due to the new R-32 refrigerant that this air conditioner uses. That R-32 refrigerant meets the 2025 EPA regulations. So that's what's nice about getting this kit is all of the components are designed to work with that new R-32 refrigerant. So if you have any other components currently in your RV or camper that are 2024 and earlier, that's not compatible with the R-32 refrigerant, it's not going to be compatible and work with this system. Now one final thing I wanted to mention, sometimes it's just not cold enough to fire up your furnace in your camper. And for times like that a heat strip might be good for you. And a heat strip is available separately for this unit that you can install. And so if you're interested in taking a look at that heat strip, you can take that model number that you see there on your screen, pop it in the search field for our website. That will take you to that heat strip and you can add that to your order, but that's not going to be a furnace replacement for you. It's simply for those milder mornings or colder mornings or even evenings where, you know, you just need to take that edge off of the air. So that's where that heat strip will come in. Well I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. If you happen to have any other additional questions, whether it's about this system or the many other systems that we carry here, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We do want to make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Product arrived in 2 shipments. Upon arrival checked for damage. None noticed. Upon removal from box found small crack in cover at bottom not far from screw attachment. Most likely from shipping. This was cosmetic and would not effect function of unit. Installed unit wired and tested. Temperature reached 67 degrees in rv in about 4 hours. Much better than the 98 degrees prior to installation.
I’ve ordered many things from trailer and they have never let me down. Easy to order, fast shipping, right on time. Actually, it arrived a day early. Nice surprise.
Just got this Coleman-Mach 3 RV AC 13.5K BTU roof air conditioner installed this morning. Replaced a 16 year old non-functioning 15K Coleman. Works fine cooling a 1999 Avion 5V 38ft. 5th wheel. Single air with ducted system. Dual pane glass windows and super thick insulation. Unit is located at 7800 ft of elevation in the White Mountains of AZ. It will perform nicely in these conditions. Easy to operate rotary digital thermostat got rewired at the same location as the old switch and slide control unit. Running nicely. Thank You Will at trailer for a very smooth transaction and fast delivery! Great mobile techs did a super clean and efficient install. Shoutout to David's RV Service out of Lakeside AZ.
