Can Hopkins Endurance Trailer Connector Adapter Just be Grounded and Other Wires Not Connected

If I dont have a trailer brake or a need for 12 volt power can I just not connect the three extra wires. I would just like to plug in the 4 flat and ground the adapter. Will this work. Thanks

Yes, you can just plug in your 4-Way to the Hopkins Endurance connector, # HM47200, ground it, and not connect the remaining wires if they are not needed. You can tape them up and stow them out of the way. For future reference, the blue wire would connect to the brake output circuit from a trailer brake controller. The red wire would connect to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker # PK54540. And the last wire would tap into the reverse light circuit.
