Can The Rhino Rack Batwing Awning Mount To A Thule Aero Blade On A 2021 Subaru Ascent

Question:
I am interested in the Rhino Rack 270 degree Batwing Awning, but concerned about mounting to my roof rack. I specifically ordered the Thule Aero Extended bars https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_2021_Ascent/Thule-Crossbar-Set-Aero-Extended/67791675/SOA567X010.html on my new Ascent so I could get a Batwing, but seems the mounting may not work...is that just for the standard aeroblades, or the extended as well?

The Rhino-Rack Batwing Awning - Roof Rack Mount - Bolt On - Passenger's Side - 118 Sq Ft Item # RR33200 is compatible with the Thule aero blade cross bars on your 2021 Subaru Ascent. You just want to be sure your cross bar spread is at least 27-1/2" to accommodate the batwings minimum mounting hardware spread. It has two brackets that have a small plate nut that get bolted to the bracket. The plate nut slides into the T-slow on your cross bars and tightened down.

Shane, Following up on the above chain re: Thule Aero Blade (ext) compatability w/ the Rhino Batwing (RH/LH), is the installation equivalent to the VORTEX cross bar diagram on Page 4 of the Install Manual? I note the 'Heavy Duty' (square) option as well and have come across a Thule square bar attachment/fit kit for the Batwing, but nothing equivalent for the Aero Blade (ext). Can you confirm that's the appropriate install method you described above and that no add'l fit kit/bracket attachment is needed for direct install of the Batwing on the Aero Blade? Much appreciated. Thx! p.s., when's Thule coming out w/ an equivalent 270* awning to compete?!
