Can Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack Be Used on Bike with Fenders

Question:

can this rack work with fenders? it looks like id have to remove them to tighten the wheel hold-down

Wheel-mount bike racks like the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV aren't the best options for bikes with fenders for exactly the reason you mentioned. The ratcheting hooks would come down on the fender instead of the wheel which won't provide a secure enough attachment and would likely lead to damage on the bike.

If you don't want to remove your fenders every time you load the bikes up for transport I instead recommend a frame-mount bike rack. I really like the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR that can handle two bikes of up to 70 pounds each, features padded hooks that clamp down on the bike's top tubes so you don't have to worry about your fenders, and it includes both a bike and hitch lock to secure everything into place and help protect your investments.
