Can Friction Sway Control be Used with High Rise Hitch Ball on Ball Mount
Updated 10/06/2020 | Published 10/05/2020 >
Question:
I have a ball mount with a tab for the sway control bar. I am considering getting a sway control bar to add to the set-up. To level the trailer, I am using a ball that has 2 inches of rise. This will cause the trailer coupler to be higher than the end of the sway bar. Will this cause a problem?

Expert Reply:
Using a high rise hitch ball is not a problem with a friction sway control unit like the part # 17200 that you referenced. There wouldn't be any decreased performance or issues due to this.
