Rebuilding a Trailer and Fixing Suspension Issues

Question:
My spring mounts don’t look correct.. there’s a gap in the rear bracket and they are not mounted square.. I don’t know why the people did this or if there was a reason but I want it done correctly!! Plz help..

The spring hangers should be square and you shouldn't have a gap as there is a bushing that should be in the eye of the spring to make up that difference. You may want to consider the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front, 1-1/4" Rear # APS2. This will give you the ability to realign your hangers and place them in the correct spots for your axle placement. I've attached an article to assist.
