The tire/wheel combo would work fine for you. It's stated that way because most folks typically want to use a galvanized or aluminum wheel for a boat trailer. As long as they're not being exposed to salt water, people do use powder coated wheels like what's used on the # AM32181 Kenda Karrier wheel/tire combo all the time without issue.

For a saltwater environment, you'd be better off using an aluminum wheel with the same ST215/75-14 Load Range C tire on it, part # AM32195 for the corrosion resistance it would provide.

There's nothing inherent in the tire or wheel that makes it unsuitable for a boat trailer, so I'll ask for that to be updated.
