Replacement Drain Plug For An Atwood G6A-7 Water Heater

Question:

You mention that the Camco brass replacement drain plug will not work with aluminum threading but the G6A-7 shows that it doesnt have aluminum threads however mine is in a 1999 model year truck camper and appears to have aluminum threads and a galvanized drain plug. Is my only option these days a plastic drain cover? Thank you

Your G6A-7 is an Atwood water heater with a 1/2" drain plug. If you have aluminum threads I recommend the Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod w/ Drain - 1/2" Diameter x 4-1/2" Long Item # CAM11533. This is an aluminum plug with an anode rod to attract corrosion particles inside your water heater.
