Features to know about

Built for Highway Confidence: Load Range C with 81-mph Speed Rating

This Rambler ST175/80R13 radial tire is rated for highway use with an M speed rating (81 mph). It carries a 1,360-lb maximum load at 50 psi and meets DOT specifications while exceeding FMVSS standards. That means you can count on solid performance and steady handling at normal towing speeds without overheating or wearing out early.

Long Life from Inside Out: Double Steel Belts and Polyester Cords

Durability starts with construction. The Rambler uses double steel belts and double polyester cords reinforced by a protective nylon overlay to help prevent tread separation. This strong internal structure keeps the tread firm and extends tire life, even with repeated use on long hauls.

Cool Running and Smooth Rolling: Radial Ply Design

Radial ply construction positions the cords at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel, reducing friction inside the carcass when the tire flexes. Less heat buildup means longer tread life and a smoother ride—all while improving stability and rolling efficiency at highway speeds.

Easy Wear Checks and Dependable Grip: Standard Trailer Tire Tread

The solid ribs and minimal sipes on the Rambler tread deliver reliable tracking for trailer applications. Built-in tread bars make it easy to see tire wear at a glance, so you can keep tabs on performance over time without guesswork.

With its 6-ply rating, this ST radial is made for real working trailers that carry serious weight. It fits 13" rims, pairing dependable load capacity with the right strength for steady towing mile after mile.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge

Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Rambler ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Rambler ST 175/80R13 radial trailer tire in a low green C. Now this is a radial ply tire. It's great for highway use. Uses the double steel belt and the double polyester cords, which combine for a nice long life. And then they do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation.

Now this tire is designed to fit a 13 inch diameter reel. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the top here or on the sidewall. ST for special trailer, 175 80R13. The R means that it's a radial tire. Capacity on this is a low range C, which means it's a six ply rated tire, so it has a maximum load of 1,360 pounds at 50 PSI.

Also, all the new trailer tires now come through with a speed rating on 'em and where that is stamped on the sidewall right after the size we just went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index. And in the letter M, speed rating is always listed by a letter rating. So the speed rating M will mean it's an 81 mile per hour speed rate tire. Now the tread on this tire, it is a standard tread, has solid continuous ribs with very few sipes or thin grooves that are cut into the rubber. Those sipes are put in there when they want the tire to helps them embed bad weather, like when there's water underneath the tire, helps dissipate that water.

These tires, since they're designed for use on trailers, they don't really require that level of traction, so that would be needed on a vehicle like one that uses braking or steering. As we mentioned, this is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers, not intended for use on any other vehicles. This tire does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and it does exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Taskmaster Rambler ST 175 80R13 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range c.

Good price, fast shipping. What's not to like?

by:

The perfect match to what came from the factory on the trailer. It took a while to get it in stock, but time was on my side for this one.
Great customer service and communications from E-Trailer. Thanks all!

by:

These tires are absolutely mint and there going to be holding 500 gallon of water I used to have a 6 ply lol so these should be just great can’t wait to get weight in the trailer and drive it around

by:

Everything looks great. I think the tires may be a bit large for my application. I’m assuming these tires will fit on the rims I purchased but if not, how do I go about sending them back and getting a refund.

by:

Was the perfect fit for my pop up trailer. Took them on a long drive and so far no problems. Smooth ride.

by:

Nice tire.

by:

I only had about 400 miles on these tires when I picked up a piece of road debris. I went ahead and ordered a new tire and had the other patched for future use as a spare. So far (other than the puncture) I love these tires much better than the OEM 6 ply set. I have a 34' Travel Trailer that weighs 6,900lb when dry.

by:

Delivery was on time as planned and placing the order was simple

by:

I bought tires and they
came in the mail.
Awesome job guy.

by:

I selected this tire to replace old the 5.30-12 bias ply tires that were on my small utility trailer that I converted to haul Kayaks. I felt the radial option was preferable in terms of load and speed range of 81 mph compared to the bias ply limitation of 65 mph.
With these tires I feel more confident hitting the road for our next river trip. I’ll try to provide an update once I have some miles on these tires.

by:

Nice upgraded tire. Excellent quality.

by:

I needed an affordable yet quality spare tire for our car hauling trailer. I am impressed with the ratings and quality of this tire. The price was very competitive, too. My full order was eligible for free shipping, a big bonus.

by:

we shall see once i place a load in my trailer

by:

It will be better load rating for my little aluminum boat, I’ll have it installed tomorrow, will will be awesome. Thanks ya all.

by:
