Recommended Replacement For An Elixir ELX-20 RV Converter

Question:

I have an Elixir ELX-20 converter in my Chalet popup. Can I get something which is a more-or-less direct fit or replacement? thx

The Elixir ELX-20 is a bit of an oddball converter design so there isn't an exact replacement but the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 35 Amp # PD4135K would be the closest option to it.

This converter is going to give you 7 DC fuses ports and 3 AC circuit breaker ports versus just the 4 DC fuse ports that the ELX-20 gives you. The ELX-20 requires a cutout hole 6.25" T x 10.58" W and the # PD4135K requires a cutout hole 7" T x 10-1/4" W, so you'll only have to trim the cutout hole you have 3/4" taller to fit this unit.

Since this is a higher amperage unit you may need to upgrade the gauge of wire you have running to your current unit while swapping it out, be sure to follow the instructions for both the AC and DC wiring listed in the instruction manual.
