Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Jeep Liberty

Question:
Jeep Liberty 2012 I purchased this part as the purchasing link told me to buy this part for my car and when i just tried to install the part it looks nothing like this connector .My car connector has a white cente with a white plastic centre with eight holes four on each side .This part looks nothing like it now I am stuck .Do i need a seperate adaptor this is kind of crazy to say this will fit and it wont

To install the # 118384, you would need to unplug your existing 7-way harness from the rear of the socket. The # 118384 would plug inline between the vehicle harness and the existing 7-way, as shown in the video I linked you to.
If your Liberty does NOT have the factory tow package with the 7-way trailer connector, the connector that the # 118384 would connect to will NOT be present. In this case, you would need part # 118554. I have linked you to the installation instructions for the # 118554, as well as an install video. The video shows the part being installed on a similar vehicle, the Dodge Nitro, and the procedure would be the same for your vehicle.
