Question:

I have a vehicle with gutter mounts, do these mounts connect directly to the pioneer platform or do I need to also purchase cross bars? Some pictures Ive seen of the pioneer platform look like its connected directly to the gutter mounts, but, other pictures look like the platform sits on top of crossbars. Im trying to have the lowest profile roof rack possible.

There are pioneer platforms in many different sizes, so you will need to determine the best fit for your specific vehicle. There are also different heights of the gutter mount legs but you will use the same spacers for the correct fit. There isn't a custom fit for your 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser so anything you use will be untested on your vehicle.
