Question:
Im repairing previous owners mess up. I need a accuater for the front of trailer. The trailer is 24-25 with dual axle. One axle has surge disc brakes. Total boat and trailer weight is around 4000lbs not including fuel. I figure I need one so I can back up. I have no clue what type of drum brakes I have as I have not dug into them yet.

Since you said the trailer has a weight of around 4,000 lbs and has disc brakes the surge actuator you'd want is the Demco part # DM8605101 which is for disc brakes and has a 6,000 lb capacity plus has a reverse lock out to allow the trailer to back up without activating the brakes.
