RAS vs Air Bags Recommendation for 2020 Ford F-350 SRW

Question:

If my goal is to keep my truck level during 5th wheel towing while preserving or enhancing the ride quality, which is the better alternative...an RAS or air bags? Do they serve the same purpose?

The RAS and air bag kits provide the same basic function of additional support to tow a trailer level like what you are doing and they both are adjustable but in general the ride quality of the RAS systems is much nicer than air bags so they are what I recommend the highest. So for your 2020 Ford F-350 the RAS # RAS3611-SHD is definitely your best option.

You are correct the overload spring of your truck would get removed but the RAS does replace the overload spring in a sense and also does the job of the overload spring and then some. So your will take off the overload spring and install this in it's place and you'll get the support you had previously plus the added adjustable support of the system.
