How to Test Slide-Out Solenoid

Question:
My slides will extend but not retract. When I hit the react button I hear a click but nothing else. I replaced the Trombetta and the same thing happens. Is there a way to check the solenoid? If I reverse the leads on the motor the slides will retract, so I know its not the motor. I have a 2018 Cedar Creek Champagne. TIA

You have already successfully tested the solenoid like the Polarity Reversing Solenoid by Trombetta for Hydraulic Power Units # LC118246.
Switching the wires is the exact way you want to test this, and since you have done so, you are right that it is not the motor. What your test indicates is that it is an electrical wiring issue that may require you to have the slide-out serviced by a professional.
