Question:
I was looking at the Derale Atomic Cool Remote transmission coolerkit with the fan, but when I put in the year and model of my truck it doesnt show this kit. I tow a 36foot toy hauler with a motorcycle inside, I just had to have the trans rebuilt from overheating. What would be a good cooler for this application.

When it comes to transmission coolers you will want to choose the largest and most efficient cooler that you have room for in your engine compartment. As long as you have room to install a Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler, then it will work with your truck. These would be very good coolers for your application because they are high efficiency coolers with 500-CFM tornado fans.
You will want to choose the correct transmission cooler for your vehicle based on the size of your transmission lines. The Atomic-Cool cooler, # D15950, is for vehicles that have 1/2 inch diameter transmission lines. If your truck has 3/8 inch transmission lines, then you will want the Atomic-Cool cooler, # D13950.
These coolers include an insta-dapt radiator adapter, but if you wanted a vehicle specific radiator adapter so you do not have to cut your transmission lines, then you will want to pick up part # D13025.
Some customers find it easier to cut the transmission lines and use compression fittings to attach the transmission cooler hoses. If you would prefer to cut the transmission lines, then you can use compression fitting # D13032 if you have 3/8 inch transmission lines or # D13033 if you have 1/2 inch transmission lines.
If you do not mount the cooler near the radiator, then you may find that you will need an additional length of hose. You could look into our Derale Remote Mounting kits which include additional hoses, compression fittings, and other items that will allow you to mount the cooler where you please. For 3/8 inch lines, then you will want kit, # D13022, and for 1/2 inch lines, you will want kit, # D13023.
I have attached a link to two transmission cooler articles for you to check out.
