Trailer Light Kit with Large Gauge Wire

Question:
looking for a trailer light kit with heavier gauge wire

Expert Reply:
Both the pigtail and the trailer harness included with the Peterson # V944 LED Taillight Kit are 18 gauge, which is typical for trailer lamps and wiring harnesses. 18 gauge wire is actually perfectly sufficient for the reduced power draw of LED lamps so a kit like this should work perfectly for you.
18 gauge wire is the industry standard for these kits, and our suppliers don't offer anything using larger gauge wire.
I've linked to a product demonstration video for the Peterson # V944 Trailer Lamp Kit.
