Which Hitch for 2020 Mazda CX-5

Question:

what is a sport frame trailer hitch 1.25? How is sports frame design different from square receiver trailer hitch? I have a new 2020 Mazda CX-5 GRAND TOURING. Bike rack maybe a small carrier? only. Is 2inch a preferable choice, even for this light use?

Sportframe is the brand name Draw-Tite uses for some of its Class 1 trailer hitches. It doesn't denote a special fit or design.

For your vehicle we offer both Class II hitches (1-1/4 inch receiver tube) or Class III hitches with a 2 inch receiver opening. If the choice is available, I'll always recommend going with a Class III because there's a much better selection of hitch mounted accessories available for it and usually there isn't too much of a price differential between a Class II and III.

For your 2020 CX5, I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13315.
