changed a 4 way trailer connector to a 7 prong factory one on a 2006 gpathfinder. not getting 12volt power to connector. pathfinder is trailer egquip

The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Flat Connectors
part # HM11143325 is for vehicles as a replacement to the already existing 7-way. Since you didn't have that connector you will need the kit that contains the relays and harness that will activate the tow package for this use the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # 118281.
