Yakima Skybox 21 Replacement Lift Struts

Need the back strut. I am note sure of the age of the box but I believe it is older sine it has skybox written on the side logos and rivits are shown. What is the correct back lifting strut?

I checked with Yakima and for the SkyBox 21 made from 2009 to present the lift struts are part # 8880683 for the rear and # 8880684 for the front.

Yes, the Replacement Front Lid Support #8880684 and Replacement Rear Lid Support #8880683 will still allow your Yakima SkyBox 21 to open from either side. These are a more durable support than the diamond style with the multiple arms like you have.

According to Yakima, to install the Replacement Lid Support for Yakima Cargo Boxes #8880684 you'll need to use a mallet #PT24FR because it'd be too difficult to do by hand.
