Replacement Lid Supports for Yakima Skybox 16

Question:

The rear lift support is twisted, it is diamond shaped and a number on it is 5021494. The front support seems ok, number on it is 5021496. Could not read serial number. Do I need to replace both supports or just the rear? Photos attached, top cover had 16 molded into bottom side, that’s why I feel like it’s a Sky Box 16. Thanks for any help you can give!

I checked with Yakima and for your Skybox 16 the correct lid support for the rear is supposed to be part # 8870072 and for the front is part # 8870090. The picture you submitted shows a broken or twisted part # 8870090 so that is what you'd need as a replacement.

Hi, I’m looking for Yakima Skybox 16 part # 8870090 and 8870072 Don you know when/if these will be back in stock? Also, don you ship to Canada?

@JulioT We can't ship Yakima to Canada per their restrictions. They have a separate Yakima company in Canada which you'd have to go through. Basically we are associated with the US version of Yakima and can only ship within the US.
