Question:

I have the above mentioned suv on lease and need to have a trailer hitch installed. The dealer wants $2331 for the job! I almost swallowed my tongue. I’ve been reading reviews on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver w T-One Wiring Harness and etrailer ball mount kit and it seems to only take about 1-2 hours to install with a lift. The dealer wants 5 hours and 5 days to install. Do you think I can get a local auto shop to Do the install a your parts without voiding a warranty or lease agreement? Thanks for any guidance you may provide.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13243 is a great option for a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport and it won't void any warranty. That said, it does require trimming of a plastic under body panel. This may or may not need to be replaced when the lease is up, that would really be between you and the dealer whether they ask you to replace it or not. It won't be very noticeable at all as the panel is on the underside of the vehicle.

In regards to the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118681 or part # 118275 and etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900, there won't be any warranty or lease issues with either of these. In regards to installation, any RV dealer with a service center would be able to get these installed for you no problem.
