Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Honda Odyssey for Carrying Bike Rack
Updated 06/19/2020 | Published 06/18/2020 >
Question:
Hi I wanted to buy a bike rack and trailer hitch for our 2018 Honda Odyssey, and Im a bit confused/overwhelmed. We need to carry four bikes two adults and two children bikes and we like the Thule Hitching Post Pro Item # TH934XTR. Im uncertain about what would be a good hitch to buy that we would then get installed by a mechanic, I guess?. I think weve narrowed it down to one of these three: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4 Item # C12175 etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2 Item # e98855 Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Can you help me make the right choice here, and let me know if theres anything else we might need to also purchase? Clearly, I havent done this before, and I want to do it right. Thanks,

I'd be happy to help you pick out the best hitch for your 2018 Honda Odyssey to carry the Thule Hitching Post Pro Item # TH934XTR, which is a great bike rack by the way.
I'd highly recommend the Draw Tite part # 76170 as it's the most hidden option as it only has the hitch opening hanging below the rear bumper which also helps with ground clearance. The other hitches you mentioned aren't terrible options at all but with a lower vehicle like yours I'd know you'd be happier with the Draw Tite.
