2012 Jaco Eagle 31.5 RLTS Cushioned Pin Box Replacement

Updated 06/30/2025 | Published 06/16/2020

Question:

Looking for a replacement cushioned pin-box, for my 5th wheel. Replacing a Dexter S/N AF7926. I would like it if it were angled a little steeper, as the rear heal swing interferes with some items I carry in the bed of the truck behind the hitch. The existing hitch from the center of the king pin to the first row of holes is 18, there are 6 1/2inch bolts that are 7 inches apart

Based on dimensions we've had sent to Lippert we know that the Trailair part # UF35-946211 can fit in place of your Dexter AF7926 pin box to provide you with a cushioned replacement.

What is the height difference of the Kingpin from my Dexter AF7926 and the UF35-946211 pin-box from the bottom row of mounting holes?

I wasn't able to track down specific dimensions for the Dexter AF7926 pin box so I can't give you an exact comparison. I can say though that even though the design on the Trailair is much different, it really shouldn't differ from your existing ride height or bed rail clearance at all.

@WayneY Did this pin box work on your 5th wheel. I have a AF7926 14 inch wide pin box on my jayco 31.5 FBHS? Or what pin box did you upgrade to?

@Dan We have one cushioned pin box that fits in place of a 14 inch wide one with the Trailair # UF35-946208 which was designed for the Leland 7920. You are going to need to go to the attached link where you will need to scroll down to the Leland 7920 dimensions and compare to what you have.
