Hi, I have a 32ft gooseneck trailer with 2 12K Hayes disc brake axles. It also has the Hydrostar 1600 psi controller. Im looking for a brake away kit with battery and cable. Currently the trailer has a 5 pin connector, I would like to switch to a 7 pin. What products do you recommend? Thanks

The Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit part # 20099 is our most popular breakaway system which comes the switch, pin, and battery. This kit in particular also has an easy to use push to test feature. It will work just fine on a trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes.
In order to convert to a standard 7-way setup you'll want to use the etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit part # HS381-9000.

My truck is a 2010 F450 XL cab and chassis. What in cab brake controller should I purchase? The truck does not have the built in Ford brake controller.
