Question:
Hello, Im looking for an upright bike carrier for my 2017 Impreza. Currently, I have the Thule Trail XT Cargo Basket installed on the roof, so I wanted to find a Thule upright bike rack that will work the the T-track. What would be the main difference between going with the Thule Upride vs Thule Proride? ANd is the new Proride XT better than the previous Proride? Thank you!

The big difference between the Thule ProRide XT part # TH598004 and the Upride # TH599000 that you referenced is how the rack attaches to the bike. The Upride has the advantage of not touching any portion of the frame which is really nice if the bike has a carbon frame or a paint job you don't want touched. The ProRide has a padded clamp that attaches to the bike frame. Both can fit in the top channels of roof rack like you have so the install will be easy and clean looking.
I attached review videos for both racks for you to check out as well.
