Trailer Hitch that Fits Early and Late Model Versions of 2016 Mazda CX-5

Question:

I have a 2016 Mazda CX-5. I have heard that in 2016 - mid year, Mazda changed the location of the bottom to the sides. I believe my CX-5 is in the second half of the year but am not sure. Can you tell which syle of hitch I need vertical or horizontal holes?

The good news is that hitches like the # e98902 fit both the early and late model versions of the 2016 Mazda CX-5 so either way this will give you a mostly hidden 2 inch hitch with plenty of towing capacity.
