How To Power Electric Trailer Tongue Jack Through 7-Way
Updated 05/22/2020 | Published 05/20/2020 >
Question:
Im looking for help with a connector to hook up. My 7 pin and an electric tongue jack so both would be on one plug. Instead of having to switch out when I need to raise and lower. Also is there a way to combine a 4 way in this so I can run a led light strip to the rear of my trailer?

In order to power an electric trailer tongue jack using the 7-way trailer connector you would simply install a new trailer connector and attach the power wire from the jack to the battery charge line pin inside the trailer connector. If you go with the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector - 3' Long # H20042 which is what I recommend then just use the black wire.
In regard to power a tailgate light bar at the rear of the trailer, you'll need to splice each of the wires into the circuits behind the tail lights on the trailer.
