Does Draw Tite Hitch for 2019 Audi Q5 Replacing Bumper Beam Affect Safety

Question:

I noticed that you recommend both the CURT and Drawtite hitches for the 2019 Audi Q5. I am leaning towards the Drawtite because it sits a little further back under the bumper but noticed that the Audi bumper does not get re-installed with the hitch. should i be concerned or that perfectly ok?

Having a trailer hitch like the Draw Tite # 76183 replace the rear bumper beam of a vehicle like your 2019 Audi Q5 is actually a really common method. Essentially the hitch beam is the same thing as the bumper beam but with a hitch opening attached to it instead.
