Does Junction Box 7-Way Kit # HS381-9000 Have Dodge Ram Trailer Wiring Color Code

Question:

your 7 wire trailer junction box I watched the video and this is not color coded for a Dodge Ram 7 pin plug correct ? thanks

The 7-way junction box part # HS381-9000 that you referenced is color coded for standard trailer wiring like what it installs on but most likely not the same colors as Dodge Ram trailer wiring. This installs on a trailer though and would not be the correct type of 7-way to install on a vehicle which requires a female 7-way socket like # PK12-707E.

The junction box has all of the pin labelled inside of it with what function each pin/wire represents to make install as easy as possible.

It would be really great if you could take plug apart and track down wires to the pins in the plug

@RickP it's trivially easy to check which wire goes where using the continuity function of a multimeter. No need to take anything apart.

@JeffD but some times you need to change the location of the pin would be great if the plug came apart
