hello, my bike weighs 48 pounds, its a heavy cruiser. Im looking for a trunk mount rack as i dont have a trailer hitch. Its for a 2010 Honda Civic lx sedan. My concern is the weight of the bike and strength of the bars/joint that holds the crossbar. Thanks

In order to carry a Beach Cruiser Bike on a 2010 Honda Civic Sedan you will need to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack. The reason for this is because the limit for a trunk mount bike rack is 35 lbs. For a trailer hitch, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11391 is what I recommend and for a bike rack, the RockyMounts HighNoon FC Solo Bike Rack for 1 Bike # RKY87RR1 is what I recommend.
I am sure this was more than you were looking to spend but it's our most cost-effective option.
