Location of the Electric Brake Control Harness on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma

Do you know where I can find the wire harness for the brake controller on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma? I looked under the dash and cannot find it. Is it behind the left side kick plate on the drivers side?

The electric brake control harness on your 2012 Toyota Tacoma will be located underneath the drivers side dash to the left of the steering column. It should be taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. It will be a 5-pin connector.

I have attached a photo showing the location of this harness as well as the installation instructions for the Plug-In Adapter from Tekonsha, # 3040-P, for you to check out.
