Will 175/80-14 Tires Replace 175/80-13 Trailer Tires

How do I determine if I can swap out my st175/80d13 tandem tires with st175/80d14 tires. How do I measure?

Expert Reply:
The only difference between a 175/80-13 and a 175/80-14 is the height. The 14 inch model will be 1 inch taller. You need to make sure there is 1/2 inch of space available above the existing tires size to accommodate the larger size. I have included a couple of links on trailer tires for you. Also, a 14 inch tire will not fit a 13 inch wheel so you would need to replace the wheels as well.
A 175/80-14 is not a common trailer tire size. If you meant a different size, let me know.
