Husky Weight Distribution Hitch Adjustment

Question:

I did all the measurements. But when I hooked it up my truck still squats really bad. Wat do I need to do to fix this??

The Husky Center Line Weight Distribution part # HT32215 and similar weight distribution hitches are designed to get the leveling capabilities through the arms or bars of the system. To achieve greater effect the rear of your bars should be adjusted downward. You can make this adjustment at the head and shank connection point. I have linked the instructions explaining this exact process for you below. You can then use the jack on your trailer to lift the properly chocked truck and trailer combination up slightly usually about 4 inches when you hook it up to make it easier. This will allow you to gain more leveling power from the system.

If when you lower the jack back down it doesn't give you the desired effect you will need to add more leverage by making another adjustment.

If you have adjusted the setup fully and are still not getting what you want level wise you can purchase heavier bars for your system. Please let me know exactly what system you have and I will look into what bars you will need. Yes John I have another question. About the electric brakes on camper. If I have them set to aggressive. Will it hold camper back while pulling. Even if I don’t touch. The breaks in truck

The electric brakes on your camper won't be activated until you physically send back power to them (no matter how aggressive you have them set at) - either by stepping on the brake pedal during travel or activating the manual override switch on the brake controller.
