Adjusting Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System For More Level Ride And Sway Control

Question:
Hi I was wondering, when the dealer did our hitch system up and after I got home I noticed that the bars are not level with the trailer frame . They taper down towards the trailer. From what I can see everywhere they say level. Seems to ride okay other than in a big wind. Truck is F250 4x4 6.2 gas and trailer is 36 ft overall at approx 10000 loaded. Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # HT32218 may not have the bars level with the frame based on the bracket height needed to optimize the ride of your trailer. If you want to add more tension for the big wind and thus increased sway, you can raise those brackets to add more resistance to the trunnion bars. The other adjustment you can make is in the tilt of the hitch head by adding or removing washers. This adjustment will change the angle of your system. I've attached videos to assist as well as installation instructions.
