Question:
I am building a tear trailer and have a question about installation of this pump relative to city water. Can I still connect to city water, and if so, where do I make the city water connection line relative to the pump? I have been told that I need to install a tee from the city water line after the pump, before the fixture connections. Is that the case? I am using this in conjunction with the Valterra City Water Inlet for RVs - Black - Gravity Fill Item # A01-2001BKVP and the DandW Inc. Spray-Port RV Exterior Hose Hookup - 2-3/4inch Round - Black Item # PF147006.

When connecting to city water that is pressurized you do need to bypass the water pump like part # P25201 that you referenced. To do that you can use a diverter like part # P23401LF. This would install after the water pump and as long as you switch it to the correct position it will allow you to have city water pressure without it backflowing to the water pump outlet.
