Can Atwood 91602 Gas Regulator Be Replaced or Do I Need a New Water Heater?
Updated 03/03/2026 | Published 10/07/2022 >
Question:
I am unable to find a 91602 gas regulator are there any other regulators that would work in place of a 91602.

The 91602 gas regulator you're trying to find was discontinued which is why you're having issues finding it.
Since this is the case you'll actually need to replace your entire water heater unit as there aren't any replacement gas regulators that will work with your system - I confirmed this with my contact at Dometic.
For your application I recommend checking out the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR with the 16" x 16" door because it is more efficient than the older style tank systems so you actually can use up to 144 gallons of hot water an hour so you can take longer showers without the fear of running out of warm water.
Attached is a review video for you to check out.

Here's the issue with that some people don't care if it's more efficient or you can get more hot water sometimes The smaller tank is enough to get someone out of the shower that's stubborn mine is personally still working I just have a lazy pilot which means when it shuts off of course it's not going to fully shut off so I end up having to actually just shut the gas off when I'm not using it but either way I'm dead set on finding a new valve or finding someone that can rebuild it because I'm not replacing a water heater over a lazy pilot
