Troubleshooting Progressive Dynamics Charge Wizard Not Charging Battery
Updated 04/06/2020 | Published 04/04/2020 >
Question:
I have my trailer plugged in and the charge wizard just got from you says it is charging the battery green light on all the time, when I put my volt meter on the battery its only reading 10.4 volts. If I unplug my trailer it says 10.2 volts and it has gotten the voltage up some cause it started lower than that. This is a brand new AGM battery and I thought the charge wizard would be at around 13.5 when trying to get the battery boosted up. Its been all day and seems should be better than that. Thanks for your help!

The first thing I would want to know here is where you tested the voltage at on the Charge Wizard # PD92201 - if you didn't test it directly at the converter box, you'll want to start there. If the voltage at the converter is different than what you're getting at the battery, it's likely that there is an open short breaker on the system and it's losing power somewhere.
If you can check the voltage at the converter and let me know what reading you're getting that would be a good place to start and would give me an idea of where to go from here. If you've got a short, it would be worth checking your wiring to make sure there isn't any damage to the wiring that could be causing a short.
